The founder of Qadianism was Mirza Gulam Ahmed Qadyani.(False Prophet) He was born in 1839 in British India’s province Punjab(Gurdas-Pur). His father’s name was Gulam Murtaza, who was Samerqandi Mughal(Barlas) by cast and by profession he was publisher as well a farmer. He was also involved in Anti-Islamic movements which were led by British imperialism to demoralize Muslims from their mission(Jihad). He was loyal with British
imperialist for his official benefits and for financial favors. In 1857 he sent 50 militants with horses(cavalry) to help British imperialists when Islamic Freedom Fighter attacked for their freedom. After the death of Gulam Murtaza, his elder son Gulam Qadir was busy in Anti-islamic movement. His whole family were involved in Anti-islamic Movements and were loyal with British imperialism for their own selfish benefits. His family was responsible for blood shed of Muslim freedom fighters. At the time, independence movement started with force and Muslims were ahead in freedom movements to sacrifice themselves with the great passion. British rulers got curious by the passion and they were seeking for Islamic perfidious from their surroundings who were loyal with them and they found Mirza Ghulam who belonged to perfidious family. Mirza Ghulam openly declared his allegiance to the British imperialism. In 1901 when he claimed false prophethood, he also declared to his followers that” Obedience of British imperialism is Half of your Faith”
Mirza gulam qadyani was not academically qualified.
He wrote “I learnt the Quran and Persian books from my teacher Fazal Elahi and I learnt accidence and syntax from Ustad Fazal Ahmad.“
(Kitab-ul-Barriah, P. 135)
After doing job in deputy commissioner’s office as a peon for 4 years, he started helping his father. He got close with British Rulers and tried to help them. He also worked as a spy for good PR.
What was the faith of Mirza gulam qadyani before false claim of prophethood:
Mirza Gulam and his family were muslims by faith and were following islam before mirza’s false claim of prophethood. Mirza was good reader of islamic books and also took part in Islamic debates frequently. He gained popularity with passage of time.
The claim of Mirza and how he played with muslim’s sentiments
In 1879 he published the news that he was determined to write a book ” Brahin-e-Ahmediya” in which he wished to write about facts and purity of Islam and contradictions of other religion. The series was supposed to be based on 50 volumes. At that time many muslim foundations offered him big amount of money and he took an advantage from muslims and islam. He took the money from them, but during 1880 to 1884 he wrote only four volumes and announced him as a revivalist “Mujadid“. He proclaimed that God asked him to announce yourself as revivalist. He was always looking for fame and he had always flatterers around him. Muslims were in demoralize state in year 1857 after the defeat of freedom fight and were seeking for miraculous help from Allah. The European religious revolution was ready to arrive in India and there were doubts that maybe religious revolution try to damage Islam in India. He then claimed himself as Imam Mehdi.
The Beginning of false claimed of prophethood
Mirza’s friend Hakeem-Noor-Uddin suggested to portray himself like spirit of Jesus and extend his followings because he knew that Muslims were in state of depression and hopelessness at that time and were praying for arrival of Imam Mehdi and Jesus(PBUH). Illiterate Muslims accepted Mirza as a holy soul of Jesus and started following him. Shortly after he felt that Muslims around him have believed him but now its time to take more advantage and he took one step toward to Befall of Jesus(pbuh) and claimed himself that he was Jesus. Actually Mirza had support from British Army to do these kind of blasphemy, British Army was threatened by freedom fighter and Mirza wanted to make a new religion and he wanted followers to follow him. Both British army and Mirza used each other. Question is, why didn’t British army arrest him when he claimed himself Jesus because he did what they wanted.
All Muslims know that Jesus(pbuh) was born to Mary(RA) in a miraculous way. Mirza, on the other hand, Mirza was born to an Indian couple of Mongol descent. How could he have reconciled such differences?
Having tested the gullibility of his followers, Mirza and his associates came up with a story that Mirza had been converted to Mary and given birth to Jesus (himself)!
- “God named me Mary in the third volume of Baraheen-e-Ahmadia (the book of “revelations” written by Mirza). I was nurtured for two years as Mary and was raised in a womanly seclusion. Then, the spirit of Jesus was breath into me just as was done with Mary. Hence, I was considered to be pregnant in a metaphorical manner. After a period of several months, not exceeding ten, I was made Jesus out of Mary by the revelation embodied in the last part of the fourth volume of Baraheen-e-Ahmadia; and thus, I became Jesus, son of Mary. But, God did not inform me of this secret at that time.”
(Kashti-i-Nuh, Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 19, P. 50; Kashti-i-Nuh, P. 46-47)
- “I am nominated as Messiah, the son of Mary.”
(Anjam Autham, P. 75; Haqiqat-ul-Wahi, P. 294, 339, 72)
Mirza Gulam Qadyani maintained his claim only for ten years after he took one more step ahead in his blasphemous adventure and claim himself as a Prophet. This time he abused Jesus(pbuh) and Mary and portrayed himself superior then Jesus(pbuh) .
“God sent His promised Messiah (Mirza), who is better than the first Messiah (Jesus) in all regards. I swear by God in whose hands my soul rests that if the Messiah, son of Mary, were my contemporary, he could not have done the works that I can do. Nor would he be able to match the signs (miracles) which I am bringing.”
(Haqiqat-ul-Wahi, Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 22, P. 152; Haqiqat-ul-Wahi, P. 148)
“Give up all mention of the son of Mary, because Ghulam Ahmad is superior to him.”
After all he claimed himself as a Last Prophet
On 10th August 1901, during jummah prayers his friend Molawi Abdul Kareem gave a sermon in a mosque and pointed towards Mirza as a prophet. After prayers people started to condemn these words but in next jummah prayers Molawi repeated same words. People quarreled with Molawi but this time he took them to mirza gulam and asked him “if i am wrong then please correct me”, Mirza Ghulam said to molawi that “you are at right path”
After this he started facing an open and strong opposition by Muslim Scholars and religious leaders for this blasphemous declaration and other teachings which belittled Jesus Christ (pbuh) and contradicted the Quranic revelations, he also announced that he was the second and improved coming of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with authority to reinterpret the Holy Quran at his pleasure!
False prophesies of False Prophet
Mirza Ghulam Qadyani wrote:
“To Judge my truthfulness or lies, there is no better test than my prophecies.”
(Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 19, P. 288)
- Rains and earthquakes
Ghulam Ahmad wrote, “God revealed to me that frequent rains will come down. Due to their frequency villages will be destroyed. After them will follow severe earthquakes”. He did not specify where and when. If it was to be in India, there are some regions which receive a lot of rain and there are other areas which feel earthquakes. This is not a prophecy.
- Abdullah Atham’s death
A Christian, Abdullah Atham entered into a debate with Mirza Ghulam Qadyani in 1893; neither of them succeeded in winning over the other. It was embarrassing to Mirza Ghulam Qadyani and he felt insulted, on June 5, 1883 he announced that he had been informed by God that Abdullah Atham would die within fifteen months, that is, September 5, 1894. Ghulam Ahmad supplicated to God for the death of Abdullah Atham by his announced date of death and he asked his followers to join him in praying for the curse to come true. The deadline came and went but Abdullah Atham lived and for a long time. Ghulam’s invocations and supplications were of no use and Allah proved that he was not His prophet.
- Multiple marriages
On February 20, 1886 Mirza Ghulam Qadyani declared that indeed Allah revealed to him that he shall marry blessed women and he shall have numerous children from these new wives. He was then 46 years old. The fact remains that he could not marry anyone after his declared revelation from Allah despite several efforts and a crush on Muhammadi Begum.
- Marriage to Muhammadi Begum
Mirza Ghulam Qadyani at age 46 had a crush on a young lady by the name of Muhammadi Begum daughter of Ahmad Baig,. Mirza asked her father for his daughter’s hand in marriage which he refused. Mirza Ghulam Qadyani announced a prophecy that she will be married to him because Allah had married her to him and no one had power to turn away from that becoming true. He offered bribes of estate and wealth to Ahmad Baig. When it did not work he begged for his pity, brought family pressure and finally made threats. The first prophecy of marriage to Muhammadi Begum failed.
Ahmad Baig did not budge from his position and married his daughter to an ordinary soldier. Mirza Ghulam Qadyani prophesied that the husband of Muhammadi Begum would die soon and she would be married to him since their marriage had taken place in the heavens. He fixed a three year period for the death of the soldier husband of his beloved lady. Twenty two years later Mirza Ghulam Qadyani died but the soldier lived for another forty years and she lived even longer. The second prophecy of marriage to Muhammadi Begum failed.
- A spark of the light of God
A son was born to Mirza Ghulam Qadyani on June 14, 1899 when he was 59 years old. He gave him the name, Mubarak Ahmad and declared, “this lad is indeed a spark of the light of God, the promised reformer, the owner of greatness and authority, possessor of healing breath like the Messiah, curer of diseases, a word of God and lucky. He will become famous in the four corners of the world, he will set prisoners free and through him all nations will be blessed.”
Allah had His plan to prove once again that Mirza Ghulam Qadyani was neither a prophet nor “the Promised Messiah” by showing that He did not reveal anything to him nor inspired him with anything nor chose him a prophet nor divinely guided him (Mehdi). Mubarak Ahmad died of natural causes at age 8 in 1907, less than a year before the death of the false prophet and the false messiah.
- The birth of another son
When Mirza Gulam Qadyani’s wife became pregnant, he announced on January 1, 1903, “Praise be to Allah Who bestowed upon me in spite of old age four sons and has given me good news of a fifth”. On January 28, 1903 his wife delivered a daughter who died in infancy. This was first failed prophecy of a son.
His wife became pregnant again and he prophesied that she will deliver a son about whom he said, “the son of nobility will be born – a lad goodly-shaped and handsome.” She delivered a baby girl on June 24, 1904. This was the second failed prophecy of a son.
- Again a son
After two disappointments and proving himself to be a false prophet, he announced again that Allah had given him the news, “Verily, We give you tidings of a meek boy.” He announced the date of the birth of the boy to be September 16, 1907 which was never fulfilled. This was the third false prophecy of a son.
In October 1907 he pronounced yet another revelation from Allah, “I shall soon bestow upon you a righteous boy” and his name was announced to be Yahya. Alas, the prophesied son never came and the false prophet Mirza Gulam Qadyani himself died on May 26, 1908. This was the fourth false prophecy of a son.
- A son to one of his followers
Manzoor Muhammad, one of his followers, informed him that his wife was pregnant. Mirza Gulam Qadyani prophesied cautiously in stages that Manzoor’s wife will deliver a boy from this pregnancy or from a later pregnancy and child’s name will be “Bashir-ud-Dawla”. After such safeguards in his prophecy he emphasized, “Manzoor Muhammad’s wife shall not die unless she gives birth to this noble son and until his prophecy is fulfilled.”
Manzoor Muhammad’s wife delivered a baby girl and afterwards she never conceived and died without giving a boy. Doesn’t it look like Mirza Gulam Qadyani was working against Allah’s Will?
- The plague
Mirza Gulam Qadyani feared plague very much and declared it to be one of his signs. He prophesied that the epidemic then ravaging in the Indian Province of Punjab will not enter his town of Qadiyan because it was the dwelling place of “God’s prophet.” God proved him a liar again. Plague spread in Qadiyan and in Mirza Gulam Qadyani’s own house; his maid and a few of his followers died of plague.
Mirza Gulam Qadyani made unlimited count of false prophesies which is written in their and other books.
Death Of Mirza Gulam Qadyani
Gulam Qadayani was in Lahore at the home of Dr. Syed Muhammad Hussain (who was also his physician), when, on 26 May 1908, suffered from diarrhea and cholera.
For years he claimed himself as ,Mujaddid,Imam Mehdi,Soul of Jesus,Jesus, and Finally Prophet. He claimed himself more than 10 personalities and most powerful being in this world.
what he claimed in his Book?
“He is the truthful God who has sent His Apostle to Qadian. He shall protect and defend Qadian against plague even though it will be on the rampage for seventy years, for Qadian is the dwelling place of His Apostle and in this are signs for nations.”
(Dafi-ul-Bala, P. 10-11)
He wrote his one of the last letter…
“Plague has not spared even our own house. The elderly Ghausan (an elderly woman) was afflicted by it. We expelled her from the house. Ustad Muhammad Din was also struck with plague. We turned him out too. Today, another woman who was visiting us and had come from Delhi was also struck with plague. I also fell seriously ill and I felt that between me and death were only a few seconds.”
(Maktubat-i-Ahmadiyya, Vol 5, P. 115)
He suffered from diarrhea and Plague (cholera) and he didn’t even had enough strength to go to toilet because of weakness. For his convenience his followers made disposable lavatory beside his bed. Once he stood up for lavatory and when he approached it suddenly fell down to his own feces and passed way. He was buried in Qadyan(India).
